I am often in debate upon how we "should" appear in public. There are the "look your best when you walk out the door" camp and the "who cares, there are other more important things to worry about" camp. Guess in which camp I belong? I don't always look perfect, but I do try to look my best when I leave my house. That's usually relative to the consumption of bad carbs and salt the day before, but that removed, I still try. Consquently I am familiar with the phrase "why don't you just relax?" Or "just be yourself." (This IS myself by the way, the one who makes the effort, not the one who smells a little gamey and didn't do his hair). Those in that camp don't feel it that important to look their best when just running errands, for instance.
